Secretary of State Names New Securities Division Director

Secretary of State Karen Handel is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Terry to Director of Securities Division, which regulates charitable organizations, securities, investment advisors, and cemeteries. Most recently, Terry served as First Vice President of SunTrust Investment Services, Inc. where he directed securities compliance.

"Bob has come to be regarded as an expert in securities management during his long and distinguished career in the private and public sector,” Secretary Handel said. “I am confident he’ll bring the proactive, aggressive approach that Georgians deserve to the management of this division.”

Robert previously served as Securities division director from 1997-2001. He and his wife Pamela have three children. Robert is also a native Atlantan and serves as president of the DeKalb County Public Library Foundation.
