Actions Taken by the Georgia State Election Board at its December 16 Meeting
Atlanta—The Georgia State Election Board met Wednesday, December 16, 2009.
The Board voted to close the following cases:
- SEB No. 2008-000071: Hancock County
- SEB No. 2008-000072: UGA Obama Voter Registration Drive
- Memo Case No. 090015: Atlanta – Borders/Post Office
- Memo Case No. 090005: Former SEB Case No. 2009-000031: Cobb County – K. Davis
The Board voted to refer the following cases to the Attorney General’s Office:
- SEB No. 2008-000031: Richmond County – Jones
- SEB No. 2008-000032: Richmond County – Gray
- SEB No. 2008-000075: Wilkes County
- SEB No. 2008-000093: Lowndes County
- SEB No. 2009-000039: Washington County
- SEB No. 2009-000041: City of Desoto
The Board voted to continue the following case:
- SEB No. 2009-000036: City of Washington
In SEB No. 2008-000033 Richmond County – Henderson, the Board voted to refer the case to the Attorney General’s Office and the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office.
In SEB No. 2008-000064 Chatham County, the Board voted to refer the case to the Attorney General’s Office and the Chatham County District Attorney’s Office.
In SEB No. 2009-000033 Clarke County – Chapman, the Board voted to refer the case to the Attorney General’s Office and the Clarke County District Attorney’s Office.
In SEB No. 2008-000108 Floyd County, the Board voted to close the case with a letter of instruction.
In SEB No. 2008-000124 DeKalb County, the Board voted to close the case with a letter of instruction.
In SEB No. 2009-000008 Schley County, the Board voted to refer the case, including three former Schley County elections employees, to the Attorney General’s Office.
In SEB No. 2009-000014 Fayette County, the Board voted to refer the cases involving Ashley J. Patterson, Christal Lanettra Holley Brown, Chandra R. Underwood, Chad Marcus Underwood, Dennis M. Dean, Lance Michael Reed, Christopher J. Asbury and Nicholas Adam Garrett to the Attorney General’s Office.
In SEB No. 2009-000006 Cook County – Daughtrey, the Board did not have a quorum and was unable to hear the case.
