Atlanta—The Georgia State Election Board met Monday, October 26, 2009.
The Board voted to close the following cases:
- SEB No. 2008-000045: Polk County
- SEB No. 2008-000051: Chattooga County
- SEB No. 2008-000112: Clayton County
- SEB No. 2008-000113: Gwinnett Elector Challenge
- SEB No. 2008-000121: Douglas County
- SEB No. 2008-000125: Cobb County
- SEB No. 2008-000130: Gwinnett County
- SEB No. 2009-000006: Cook County
- SEB No. 2009-000012: Clayton/Henry County
- SEB No. 2009-000018: Cobb County
- SEB No. 2008-000083: Jack Justice, Primus Industries
The Board voted to close the following cases with a letter of instruction:
- SEB No. 2008-000082: Cobb County
- SEB No. 2009-000001: Carroll County
- SEB No. 2009-000016: Crisp County

The Board voted to refer the following cases to the Attorney General’s Office:

The Board voted to defer the following cases:

The Board voted to accept consent orders in the following cases:

- SEB No. 2008-000103: Bill Chappell
In SEB No. 2007-000040 City of Jackson, the Board voted to accept the consent order and refer the case to the District Attorney’s Office.
In SEB No. 2009-000003 Carroll County, the Board voted to send a notice of potential violation to the NAACP and continue the case.
In SEB No. 2008-000048 Daniel Alvin Recall Petition, the Board voted to refer the case to the Attorney General’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office.
In SEB No. 2008-000074 Meriwether County, the Board voted to issue a letter of instruction and a public reprimand to Patty Threadgill; issue a letter of instruction to Larry Whitlock; and close the case against Sheriff Steve Whitlock.
The Board voted to close SEB No. 2008-000029 Newton County Board of Elections with a letter of reprimand.
In SEB No. 2007-000036 City of Douglas, the Board voted to accept the consent order, pending the addition of a reprimand.
In SEB No. 2008-000056 Seminole County, the Board voted to accept the consent order against Judge J.E. Earnest and to close the case against Norma McCloud.
