Actions Taken by the State Election Board at its June 2 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Election Board met on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
The Board voted to refer the following cases to the Attorney General’s Office:
- SEB No. 2008-000079: City of Tiger
- SEB No. 2008-000083: Jack Justice
- SEB No. 2008-000133: Lowndes County
The Board voted to continue the following cases:
- SEB No. 2006-000050: Chattooga County
- Memo Case No. 080002: Henry County
The Board voted to close the following cases:
- SEB No. 2008-000078: Bibb County
- SEB No. 2008-000086: Anita Vines
- SEB No. 2008-000091: DeKalb County
- SEB No. 2008-000095: Golden Living Center
- SEB No. 2008-000120: Bibb County
- SEB No. 2008-000122: Paulding County
- SEB No. 2008-000127: City of Arlington
- SEB No. 2009-000019: White County
- Memo Case No. 080012: Pierce County
The Board voted to accept a consent order in the following case:
- SEB No. 2007-000028: City of Greenville
The Board referred SEB No. 2008-000030: Richmond County to the Attorney General’s Office and the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office.
The Board voted to continue the portion of SEB No. 2008-000076: Habersham County relating to Probate Court Judge Ann Adams Jarrell. The Board voted to close the case against Probate Court Clerk Sue Bottoms and issue a letter of instruction and a cease and desist order.
The Board voted to close SEB No. 2008-000089: Walton County and issue a letter of instruction and a cease and desist order.
The Board voted to refer the respondents in SEB No. 2008-000092: Butts County to the Attorney General's Office, but granted a continuance to respondent Samuel Henderson.
In SEB No. 2008-000097: Cook County, the Board voted to close the case against Reginald Martinez Wooten and Joshua Everette Guthrie. The case against the remaining respondents was referred to the Attorney General's Office and the Cook County District Attorney.
The Board voted to close SEB No. 2009-000011: Columbus Muscogee and issue a letter of instruction and a cease and desist order.
The Board did not take action in SEB No. 2008-000098: Pulaski County.
