Actions Taken by the Georgia State Election Board at its April 1 Meeting

Atlanta—The Georgia State Election Board met on Wednesday, April 1, 2009.

The Board voted to accept an amended consent order on the following cases:

• 2007-000004 and 2007-000041, Fulton County

The Board voted to close the following case:

• Memo Case 08005, Gwinnett County, Catherine Horton

The Board voted to close the following case and refer it to law enforcement for further investigation:

• Memo Case 08006, DeKalb County, False Identification(s)

The Board voted to table the following case:

• Memo Case 08007, Gwinnett County, Howard Sorsdahl

The Secretary of State’s Elections Division Director Wes Tailor briefed the Board with an elections update.

Deputy Secretary of State Rob Simms gave the Board an overview of pending elections legislation.
