Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its November 4 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting on Wednesday, November 4, 2009.

The Board voted to report the following rule as amended:

  • 553-12-.02 The purpose is to establish continuing education requirements for the residential division.

The Board voted to ratify 70 general contractor licenses, 79 residential basic licenses and 51 residential-light licenses that were issued from August 5, 2009 through October 6, 2009.

The Board voted to deny two residential basic licenses and three residential-light licenses.

The Board voted to accept the following public consent orders for probationary licensure:

  • Aderemi Ogunmuko, Canton
  • Jeffrey Lee Camp, Villa Rica

The Board ratified the voluntary cease and desist orders for the following for unlicensed practice:

  • John H. Williams, dba Summerville Renovations, Augusta
  • James Hardin, dba Black River Construction, Macon

The Board accepted the cease and desist order from the following for unlicensed practice:

  • Walter Conway, dba Sawhaven Renovations, Woodstock

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. via conference call.
