Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Architects and Interior Designers at its February 20 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Architects and Interior Designers met on Friday, February 20, 2009.

The Board voted to ratify the issuance of 12 Registered Interior Designer licenses and 29 Registered Architect licenses by examination; 32 Registered Architect licenses by reciprocity; and the reinstatement of one Registered Interior Designer license and 22 Registered Architect licenses since the Board’s last meeting.

The Board approved 11 applications for examination for Registered Architect; two applications for an architectural license by reciprocity; four applications for reinstatement of an expired Registered Architect license; and one application for licensure as a Registered Interior Designer.

The Board accepted the Voluntary Cease and Desist orders for unlicensed practice from the following individuals:

• Tobie Johnston, Tucker: Unlicensed practice of architecture.
• Joshua Eric Thornton, Gainesville: Unlicensed practice of architecture.

The Georgia State Board of Architects and Interior Designers will hold its next meeting on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
