Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors at its June 18 and 19 Meetings
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors held meetings on Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19, 2008.
The General Division held 56 appearances for applicants who requested the Board reconsider the denial of their licenses. The General Division overturned the denials of 19 applications for licensure, upheld the denials of 13 applications for licensure and tabled 13 applications for further review. Eleven applicants did not attend their scheduled appearances.
The General Division also voted to deny three general contractor licenses.
The Board voted to accept the following consent orders for probationary licensure:
Craig C. Butt, Bishop.
Robert Glenn Forrester, Jr., Forsyth.
Jason Anthony Fritz, Marietta.
Peter L. Gordon, Norcross.
Christopher Lyn Hughes, McDonough.
John W. Johnson, Nicholls.
David William Sturm, Roswell.
The Residential Division held 86 appearances for applicants who requested that the Board reconsider the denial of their licenses. The Division overturned the denials of 40 applications for licensure, upheld the denials of 26 applications for licensure and tabled 13 applications for further review. Seven applicants did not attend their scheduled appearances.
On Thursday, June 19, the Residential Division of the Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors held a conference call to vote to accept these recommendations.
The Board voted to change the expiration dates to even-numbered years for the Residential and General Contractor licenses, which currently show an expiration date of 2009.
The Residential Division of the Georgia Board of General and Residential Contractors will hold its next meeting Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
