Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians at its February 8 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians held its bi-monthly meeting on Friday, February 8.

The Board voted to approve 18 Dietitian Licenses and 5 provisional Dietitian Permits.

The Board voted to accept the following Public Consent Order for aiding, assisting or encouraging an unlicensed individual in the practice of dietetics on:

  • Rosanne Marie Gschwendner, Augusta: Public Reprimand and $500 fine.

The Board voted to post the proposed amendment to Board rules for Public Hearing and Adoption:

  • Rule 156-6, Code of Conduct and Ethics of Dietitians: The proposed amendment adds two additional examples of “unprofessional conduct” and a provision that a licensed dietitian should accurately present his/her professional qualifications and credentials when certifying the provision of services.

The Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians will hold their next meeting Friday, April 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
