Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine at its February 2 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine held its meeting on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.
The Board voted to post a new chapter, a new rule and amend an existing chapter to its rules as follows:
- Rule 700-7-.01 Renewal of Licenses. The main feature of this rule amendment removes the administrative requirement to send out a renewal reminder to licensees who fail to renew their license by the deadline.
- New Chapter 700-16 Practice of Foreign Graduates Prior to Licensure and new Rule 700-16-.01 Practice of Foreign Graduates Prior to Licensure. The main feature of this new chapter and new rule is to provide practice guidelines for foreign trained veterinarians practicing under O.C.G.A.§43-50-44(14).
The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine will hold its next meeting Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
