Instructions for Renewing Your Current Professional License Online


  1. To begin the renewal proccess of your current professional license, click the "Renew Your Current License " button (shown below) located on the Professional Licensing Boards homepage.

                                              

  2. The next screen is the Georgia Online Services For Current License Holders screen. If you have never registered with us, you must go through the registration process. If you already have a User Id and Password, go to step # 5 of these instructions.

  3. Once you click the "...,click here to continue the registration process.", enter your last name and social security number in the fields and click the "Search" button.

  4. When your record is found, complete all of the required fields and click the "Register" button. The process will automatically send you to a screen that says "You have successfully registered... Please click here to login..." This will take you back to the login screen.

  5. Enter your user id and password and click the "Login" button.

  6. To start the renewal process, click the "Renew License " link that is located in the menu options on the left side of the screen.

  7. Follow the directions on the screen and click the "Continue" link next to the license you wish to renew.

  8. The next screen provides renewal information about the license you are renewing. Please read the information provided on this page and click the "Click here to begin "link when you are ready to continue with the renewal process .

  9. The next screen allows you to change your physcial location address. Enter the required address information and click the "Next Step" button. Please Note: Some license types are not allowed to change their physcial address without submitting a new application and fee. If you are one of those license types, please contact the Professional License Boards at (478) 207-2440.

  10. The next screen allows you to change your mailing address. Enter the required address information and click the "Next Step" button. Please Note: Some license types are not allowed to change their mailing address without submitting a new application and fee.   11. At this point in the renewal process, you must provide answers to specific questions regarding your license. Please read the information and the questions carefully, selecting "Yes" or "No" from the drop down for each question. Once you have answered all of the quesitons, please click the "Submit Answers" button. By clicking the "Submit Answers" button, you are swearing or affirming that you understand and have answered all of the quesitons to the best of your knowledge.

  12. The next screen is the information summary page. It allows you to review all of the information and question answers you provided during the renewal process. If you wish to change any of your answers, please click the "Back" button in your browser until you reach the screen that contains the information you wish to correct. Once you are satisfied that all of the information is correct, click the "Pay Fees and Submit" link at the bottom of the page.

  13. The next screen is the "Checkout" page. Enter the required credit or debit card information and click the "Submit" button.

  14. Your receipt should appear on the next screen. Remember to print a copy of your receipt, as well as, download any additional information forms that you were directed to submit via fax or mail. You may check the status of your renewal by visiting our website at https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/myverification/ to see if your expiration date has been updated.
