Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its February 12 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.

The Board voted to accept the following Consent Orders:

  • Tri-State Testing and Drilling, LLC, Chattanooga, TN: Penalty fee of $500 and public reprimand for performing engineering prior to obtaining a Certificate of Authorization.
  • John J. Funny representing Grice & Associates, Inc., Atlanta: Public reprimand, a $500 fine, and 12 month probation for failure to meet qualifications.

The Board voted to accept the following Voluntary Cease and Desist Orders:

  • David Lynah, Smyrna: Unlicensed practice of surveying.
  • Raymark Engineering, Marietta: For use of the word “engineering” in the name of the firm.
  • John T. Clark, Quincy, FL: Unlicensed practice of land surveying.
