Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its January 8 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.

The Board voted to post the following rule for changes:

Board Rule 180-12-.02: To make clear the requirements for signing and sealing multi-page documents; to require name, address, and contact information of the registrant; adds requirements for electronically transmitted documents.

The Board will hold a public hearing to discuss and vote on whether to accept the proposed changes to the rule. The date of the public hearing will be posted on the Board’s website: http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/pels/.

The next meeting of the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon.
