Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Optometry at its September 14 Meeting
Macon, Ga. - The Georgia State Board of Optometry met on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
The board voted to approve the following applications for licensure by reinstatement:
- Deuane Duncan, Thomasville
- Phyllis Fincher, Albany
- Loretta Graham, Hixson, Tenn.
The board voted to approve the following applications for licensure by examination:
The board considered a Rule Waiver Request from Lisa Turpin to waive Board Rule 420-5-.01-Application and Examination Requirements. The board voted to deny her request.
The board elected the following officers for 2011-2012:
- Diane Drake, Chair
- Glenn Morris, Vice-Chair
The Georgia State Board of Optometry is currently scheduled to hold its next meeting Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
