Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Optometry at its February 23 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Optometry held its meeting on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
The Board elected the following officers for 2011:
- H. Kemp Jones, O.D., Swainsboro: President
- Dudley Christie, O.D., Perry: Vice-President
The board accepted consent orders on the following Optometrists for failure to acquire the required continuing education:
- Steven B. Nakdimen, O.D., Alpharetta
- K. Gideon Mincey, O.D., Atlanta
- Jennifer Jean Jabaley, O.D., Blue Ridge
- Robert Young Park, O.D., Duluth
- Patrick Flores, O.D., Duluth
- William P. Giles, O.D., Jefferson
- Alyce Miles, O.D., Macon
- Charles R. Reddy, O.D., Suwanee
- Mark Allen Hegetschweiler, O.D., Windemere, FL
The Board also issued final decisions for the following Optometrists concerning failure to acquire the required continuing education:
- Sima Lal Gupta, O.D., Atlanta
- Linhan Thi Truong, O.D., Chamblee
- David Anthony Rossello, O.D., Columbus
- Michael P. Shea, O.D., Cumming
- Gregory M. Fowler, O.D., Evans
The Georgia State Board of Optometry is currently scheduled to hold its next meeting Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
