Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispensers at its July 14 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispensers met on Tuesday, July 14, 2009.

The Board voted to table the adoption of changes to the following rule until further notice:

• Rule 276-2.04, Examinations: Removes outdated language regarding examination materials.

The Board voted to adopt the following changes to rules:

• Rule 276-10.01, Continuing Education Dispensers. Amended., and Rule 276-10-.02, Continuing Education Courses. Amended: States that continuing education hours are relevant to the profession, that dispensers only are required to obtain continuing education hours and update the rule title continuing education requirements of the Board
• Rule 276-14, Renewal and Reinstatement Process: Defines the renewal, late renewal and reinstatement processes.

The Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispensers will hold its next meeting Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
