Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Dentistry at its June 5 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Dentistry met on Friday, June 5, 2009.

The Board issued cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice to the following individuals:

• James John Wrezesininski, Macon
• James John Wrezesininski, III, Macon

The Board adopted rule amendments for the following:

• 150-3-.01, Examination of Dental Licensure: Outlines the examination required for consideration for dental licensure in Georgia.
• 150-3-.09, Continuing Education for Dentists: Provides continuing education credit for dentists providing volunteer care to indigent patients in Georgia.

The Board voted to elect Stephen Holcomb, DMD of Kathleen as president of the Board and Rebecca Bays Carlon, DDS of Albany as vice-president of the Board.
             
The Georgia Board of Dentistry will hold its next meeting Friday, July 10, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
