Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its June 14 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology held its meeting on Monday, June 14, 2010.
The Board voted to accept payment for fines resulting from citations against the following individuals or establishments:
- Elegance Nails, Albany
- Elite Nails, Alpharetta
- The Beauty Shop, Atlanta
- Glamourous Nails Manicurist Shop, Covington
- Angel Nails Salon, Decatur
- Shannon Nicole Bell, Lithonia
- Angel Nail Salon, Peachtree City
- Classy Nails #2, Pooler
- ATL Beauty & Barber Salon, Stone Mountain
- A Touch of Beauty Salon, Tucker
- A&C Nails Salon, Valdosta
- Trang Thai, Washington
- Cynthia’s Designer Touch Beauty Salon, Waynesboro
The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments:
- Choices Salon, Jonesboro
- Amor Hair Design Studio, Kingsland
- Yatisha Nicole Dezmal, Lithonia
- Dominican Hair Salon by Marizol, Loganville
- Beauty Center, McDonough
- C-Charron’s Hair Salon, McDonough
- B-Nails Salon, Rincon
- A New You, Thomasville
- Ametra Tarcia Dixon-Evans, Townsend
- Dominican Hair Salon RD, Tucker
The Board voted to uphold the citation but reduce the fine against the following establishment:
- Cobb Beauty College, Kennesaw
The Board voted to grant continuances for hearings on citations against the following individuals or establishments:
- City Cutz Salon, Atlanta
- Janice R Lowe, Decatur
- The Fifth Nail Bar Salon, Marietta
- Jeanne F Clifton, Riverdale
- Tiffany Michelle Ash-Jones, Snellville
- Hair Connection Salon, Uvalda
The Board voted to dismiss the citation and issue a salon license for the following individual:
- LaCicely Young, McDonough
The Board voted to approve the following continuing education classes:
- Natural Beauty Products, Inc., Middletown, OH: Scalp Disorders, Hair Chemistry and Chemical Services
The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
