Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its April 19 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology held its meeting on Monday, April 19, 2010.

The Board voted to uphold citations against the following individuals or establishments:

• City Nails, Bainbridge           
• Hairy Situations Salon, Cochran
• Reflections by Courtney Rae A Salon & Boutique, Colquitt
• Absolute Elegance Hair, Columbus
• Myla’Ns Beauty Salon, Columbus
• GA Nails & Tan Salon, Gainesville
• Hairlines Beauty Salon, Macon
• Adrian Styles Dominican Salon #2, Marietta
• VIP Beauty Salon, Sandy Springs                 
• Crystal Nail Salon, Union City          

The Board voted to uphold the citation but reduce the fine against the following establishment:

• Wonder Nails, Morrow

The Board voted to accept payment for fines resulting from citations against the following individuals or establishments:

• Diane Nail Spa Salon, Covington      
• Amy’s Nails, Dalton
• Ever Nails Salon, Eastman
• All About Nail Salon, Greensboro     
• The Mo Betta Salon, Mableton
• D’Pelos by Chelo Salon, Norcross
• Barbara’s Beauty Salon, Riverdale
• Classy Nails II            , Savannah
• Da Vi Nail, Thomson
• Mane Designs Beauty, Twin City

The Board voted to dismiss citations against the following individuals or establishments:

The Board approved the following continuing education provider:

The Board renewed the following continuing education provider:

• Elite CME, Inc., Ormand Beach, FL

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
