Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology at its May 18 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology met on Monday, May 18, 2009.

The Board voted to uphold the citations against the following salons:

  • Head Quarters, Cochran
  • Headstall Beauty Salon, Dearing
  • Gene’s Beauty Salon,             Dublin
  • Flavors Hair Salon, Eastman
  • Happy Days Salon, Eatonton
  • DaVi Nails, Macon
  • CK Nails Salon, Warner Robins
  • Classic Nails Salon, Warner Robins
  • Got Nail Salon, Warner Robins
  • Divine Cuts & Styles, Wrens

The Board voted to uphold the citations against the following salons, but reduce the fines:

  • Hairy Situations Salon, Cochran
  • BIG Styles, Warner Robins
  • Cuts By Us, Warner Robins

The Board voted to accept payment from the following salons and individuals for citations:

  • Designers Nails, Bonaire
  • First Impressions Hair, Byron
  • Karen Kuts & Kuts, Cochran
  • Changing Faces, Gordon
  • Hair Express, Gordon
  • Daily Nails, Greensboro
  • Casual Cuts Salon, Macon
  • Great Clips, Milledgeville
  • Cali Nails Salon, Sandersville
  • East Broad Street Beauty, Sparta
  • Cutting Edge, Warner Robins
  • Eagle Nails, Warner Robins
  • Karen Daley, Warner Robins

The Board voted to dismiss the citation against the following salon:

  • Hair Magic, Augusta

The Board voted to continue the cases against the following salons:

  • Studio 441, Athens
  • KeDe Bridge Salon, McDonough
  • B & J’s Styling, Thomson
  • A New Hope Beauty Salon, Warner Robins

The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 9:30 am at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
