Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Cosmetology at its November 17 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Cosmetology met Monday, November 17, 2008 to hold citation hearings.

The Board voted to uphold the citations issued against the following establishments:

  • A Woman’s Touch, Smyrna
  • Adrian Style Dominican, Marietta
  • Carastra & Co, Marietta
  • Changes Studio, Chatsworth
  • D’Chel Span Nails, Smyrna
  • Designing Women, Warner Robins
  • Estetica International, Marietta
  • Fantasia Hair Salon, Marietta
  • George Edward Salon, Sandy Springs
  • Great Clips, Cumming
  • Hair Cuttery, Marietta
  • Hair Wizzz, Douglasville
  • Ingrid’s Skin Care, Marietta
  • Jamela Hair Braiding, Marietta
  • Moon Nails Salon, Cartersville
  • Multi Color Hair, Austell
  • N’Finite Possibilities, Marietta
  • Nueva Imagen, Marietta
  • Regis Hairstylists, Rome
  • Salon Hudgens, Acworth
  • Salon Le’Dor, Atlanta

The Board voted to uphold the citations issued against the following establishments but reduce the fines:

  • American Nails, Inc., Fayetteville
  • Laura’s Bay Nails, Douglasville
  • New Images, Kennesaw
  • Sensibilities Salon, Powder Springs
  • Strictly Platinum, Marietta

The Board voted to reduce the fines against the following establishment:

  • Super Nail Salon, Douglasville

The Board voted to grant continuances for hearings regarding the citations issued against the following establishments:

  • Showcase Salon, Marietta
  • VIP Beauty Salon, Sandy Springs

The Board voted to accept the voluntary surrender of the license of the following establishment:

  • Showroom Salon, Marietta

The Board voted to approve Neill Corp. as a new continuing education provider.                

The Georgia Board of Cosmetology will hold its next meeting Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
