Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at Its August 3 Meeting

Macon, Ga. - The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting via conference call on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

The board voted to ratify the issuance of 33 residential basic licenses, 30 residential light licenses and 73 general contractor licenses.

The board voted to deny one application for licensure as a general contractor qualifying agent by reciprocity.

The Board ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

• Paul Kassar, dba Kassar & Associates, Austell
• Commonwealth Construction Services, Atlanta

The Board ratified the acceptance of the following consent order for reinstatement that would place the licensee on probation for 24 months:

• Kevin Marc Madonna, Jackson

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 9 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
