Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at Its July 6 Meeting

Macon, Ga. - The State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.

The board voted to ratify the issuance of 32 residential basic licenses, 18 residential light licenses and 66 general contractor licenses.

The board voted to deny one application for licensure as a residential light qualifying agent by prior approval status and to uphold the previous vote of denial for one application for licensure as a residential light commercial individual by examination exemption.

The board voted to deny one application for licensure as a general contractor limited tier qualifying agent by examination.

The board ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist order for unlicensed practice:

  • George Robert Fort, Jr., Guyton

The State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at 9 a.m. via conference call.
