Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its April 14 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting via conference call on Thursday, April 14, 2011.

The Residential Division voted to ratify the issuance of 69 residential basic licenses and 62 residential light licenses.

The Residential Division ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

  • Marcus Hill d/b/a Total Home Care, Augusta
  • Jeremy Daugherty d/b/a Summit Home Improvements, Cumming
  • Peter Clarke d/b/a Clarke’s Home Improvement, Cumming
  • Randy Walters, Cumming
  • Jeremy McCommon, Jr., Milledgeville
  • Edwin R. Scott, Sandy Springs

The Residential Division ratified the acceptance of the following consent order that will place the licensee on probation for 24 months:

  • Scott Jones Sibley, Roswell

The General Division voted to ratify the issuance of 124 general contractor licenses.

The General Division ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist order for unlicensed practice:

  • Jake Burdick d/b/a Burdick Construction, Summerville

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
