Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its November 3 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meetings on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.

The Board voted to adopt the following rule:

  • Rule 553-2-.13 General Contractor Division Applicants Seeking Licensure by Reciprocity. The purpose of this Rule is to establish guidelines for reciprocal licensure with other states or territories of the United States.

The Residential Division voted to ratify the issuance of 35 residential basic licenses and 43 residential-light licenses.

The Residential Division ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

  • Albert Ray Bryant, Ellenwood
  • Donald Matthew Pierce, Griffin
  • Philip Crayton, Omaha

The Division voted to ratify the issuance of 78 general contractor licenses.

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
