Actions Taken by the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its October 6 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its meeting via conference call on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.

The Board voted to ratify the issuance of 41 residential basic licenses and 39 residential-light licenses.

The Board voted to ratify the issuance of 101 general contractor licenses.

The Board ratified the acceptance of the following voluntary cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

• Michael Borchert, Cleveland
• Norman Kerr d/b/a Regents Construction, Decatur
• Jamie C. Lewis, Eastman
• Bubba Morgan d/b/a All Pro Renovations, Franklin
• Gladis Costello, Gainesville
• Kevin Black d/b/a All Pro Renovations, Grantville
• James L. Wilson, Stone Mountain
• Owen Greene, Townsend

The Board voted to adopt the following new rules:

• Rule 553-9-.01 Grounds for Disciplinary Action
• Rule 553-12-.02 Continuing Education – Residential
• Rule 553-12-.03 Programs Which Qualify
• Rule 553-12-.06 Revocation for Failure to Renew and Reinstatement

The Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
