Actions Taken by the Residential Division of the Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors at its June 13 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Residential Division of the Georgia Board of Residential and General Contractors held a conference call on Friday, June 13, 2008.

The Division voted to accept the recommendations regarding applicant licensure from the June 11, 2008 committee meeting.

At the June 11 meeting, the Division held 82 appearances for applicants who asked the Board to reconsider the denial of their licenses. The Division overturned the denials of 37 applications for licensure, upheld the denials of 22 applications for licensure and tabled 12 applications for further review. Eleven applicants did not attend their scheduled appearances.

The Georgia State Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon.
