Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Barbers at its December 7 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Barbers met on Monday, December 7, 2009.
The Board denied the following applications:
- Marc Duane Rogers, Master Barber/Endorsement, Albany
- Apollo Edward Nida, Barber Apprentice/Initial, Atlanta
The Board closed three complaints.
The Board voted to reschedule hearings related to citations against the following establishments:
- Milton B. Broughton, Lithonia
- Jones Barbering & Styling, Milledgeville
The Board voted to uphold citations against the following establishments:
- First Class Barber Shop #9, Atlanta
- First Class Barber Shop #3, Atlanta
- Henson’s Barber Shop, Columbus
- Klose Kuts Barbershop, Columbus
- Platinum Cutts II, Gainesville
- Darrell’s Unisex Barber Shop, Marietta
- Smooth Cuts Barber Shop, Waycross
The board voted to uphold citations against the following establishments but reduce the fine:
- Carlos L Mahone, Atlanta
- Omar’s Barber Shop, Augusta
The Board voted to accept payment for citations against the following establishments:
- Ernesto’s Cuts, Atlanta
- Pure Essense, Atlanta
- Playboy Barber Shop, Columbus
The Board voted to accept the following consent orders:
- Kerence Smith, Hephzibah: consent agreement for licensure
- Benedicto Peralta, Monroe: consent agreement for licensure
- Jason Cannadate, Sandy Springs: consent agreement for licensure
- Jason Cannadate d//b/a Blades Beauty & Barber, Sandy Springs: consent agreement for licensure
The Board voted to ratify the following cease and desist orders:
