Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Barbers at its March 16 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Barbers met on Monday, March 16, 2009.

The Board voted to uphold the following citations:

• Clippers of Douglasville, Douglasville
• Custom Image, Ft. Valley
• Glover’s Barber Shop, Hephzibah
• Hair Center, Macon
• Jenkins Barber, Douglasville
• Platinum Cuts, Smyrna
• Playboy Barbershop, Columbus
• Razor Connection, Marietta
• Watkins Barber, Thomasville
• Westside Barber, Warner Robins

The Board voted to uphold the following citations and reduce the associated fine:

• Hair Mastery, Madison
• Mr. Pete’s Barbering, Douglasville

The Board voted to dismiss the following citations:

• Bonanza Barber Shop, Jonesboro
• Fryer’s Hair Care, Augusta
• Walter Johnson/Nu House of Johnson, Macon
• Who’s Next LLC, Atlanta

The Board voted to continue the following cases:

• Prestige Barber Shop,             Marietta
• Russell’s Barber, Augusta

The Board voted to suspend the following individuals’ licenses for non-payment of child support:

• Dennis K. Henry, Jr., Valdosta
• Keino J. Walker, Riverdale

The Georgia State Board of Barbers will hold its next meeting Monday, April 13, 2009 at 9:00 am at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon, Georgia.
