The Office of Secretary of State only accepts employment
applications for current vacancies. If you are applying for a specific
advertised position, you may submit additional information about your
background on a resume; but you must complete the
state application form regardless of whether the position you are
seeking is classified or unclassified. As well, you will NOT be considered an
official applicant for any Department position until we have your state
application on file. NOTE: Although you may send your letter of interest,
application, and other information via e-mail, you must mail the originals to
be considered for the position(s). Also, you must apply for an open position
during the official advertisement period.
When your application is received, it will be evaluated
to determine if you meet minimum employment qualifications. The applicable
Office of Secretary of State hiring office will select those most qualified for
interviews. Please be thorough in the information you provide. Not every
eligible applicant will be interviewed. If selected for an interview, you will
be contacted. Only applicants selected for interviews will receive a letter of
the position’s status.
